Case Types
disputes That can be resolved by mediation/arbitration
Mediation and arbitration can be used for personal, familial, and professional disputes. Examples of cases we can assist with include but are not limited to: debt collections, tenant/landlord disputes, service complaints, medical billing, divorce, and child custody arrangements. See below for more information, or if you are still uncertain if dispute resolution is right for you, reach out to us via our Contact Form.
Debt Collections
Any outstanding balances that are owed to you or your business. Applicable cases include credit card debt, medical bills, maintenance and repairs, partially-paid product sales, and any case involving invoices for goods or services.
Tenant/Landlord Violations
Breaches of lease agreements by either the tenant or the landlord. We have handled cases regarding overdue rent, property damage, and unfulfilled maintenance requests, but we can also assist with instances of squatting, pest control, unauthorized occupants and/or pets, and repeated complaints (such as loud noise or improper pet waste removal).
Service Complaints
Dissatisfaction with services rendered by a business. Common complaints pertain to automobile repairs or construction, but other services eligible for dispute resolution can include cosmetic procedures (hair cuts/dye, waxing, spa services, etc.), healthcare (vaccinations, regular medical procedures, etc.), creative work (website design, social media marketing, graphic design, commissioned artwork, etc.), and many other services that are typically outsourced.
Medical Billing
Bills for medical procedures that do not match the services rendered and/or prices quoted. If you were charged a higher amount for medications, visits, or procedures than originally stated upon intake, or if you believe any services you received were incorrectly coded, we can help.
Workplace Conflicts
Disputes between employers and/or employees for which HR involvement is either unavailable or not required. Examples can include unclear job expectations, minor cases of harassment, favoritism, absenteeism, and more.

Divorce & Child Custody
Division of financial and physical assets and arrangement of spousal support payments for divorcing parties. Should your divorce involve children and/or dependent special needs adult children, we can guide you through custody and the development of fair visitation arrangements.

Please note: due to the complexity of divorce cases, we charge a higher rate and limit each session to no more than 4 hours. This rate does not differ for child vs. childfree cases.
